Tarran Mackenzie reveals why the BSB-to-WorldSBK pathway is no longer what it was

Tarran Mackenzie has reflected on how the pathway from the British Superbike Championship to the Superbike World Championship has changed.

Many moons ago, World Superbikes was seen as a natural pathway for riders progressing from the British Superbikes.

Alex Lowes, Neil Hodgson, Tom Sykes, James Toseland, Troy Bayliss and Jonathan Rea: just some of the names who have carved out careers at world championship level, with some going on to become among the very best riders the series has produced since its inception in 1988.

But it's now a steeper challenge for British riders to establish themselves. 2021 BSB champion Tarran Mackenzie, who leapt to World Supersport in 2023 before WorldSBK from 2024 onwards, has his say on the matter.
